Due to limitations regarding data collections and verification, CSJ presents a minimal data of persons accused under blasphemy laws collected from credible sources. The exact number of victims can be higher. This data includes formal charges as well as allegations when involving similar consequences. The Muslims victims are largest faith identity, an overwhelming majority (96 % Muslim). However, it is not an evidence of fairness of the law or its enforcement. On the contrary, the minorities appear to be the disproportionally affected (over 60% victims). It was also observed that most cases involving Muslim victims get resolved at the investigation stage while those against non-Muslim victims usually result in trials ending on convictions.
